Can I Only Print 1 Shirt OR DO YOU ONLY Print in Bulk?

We have a minimum order of 12 pieces on screen printing orders (and 25 on multi-color prints). Since screen printing is designed to be printed in bulk, the actual printing process is the fastest part. All the costs are really in time and setup. This is why the cost per shirt goes down the more you print per design. A lot of work goes into getting a shirt ready to print — from artwork to film positives and setting up the screens, it takes a good bit of time to setup the press. We can offer custom printing of small batches (even one shirt!) but you pay as if you’re getting 12.

However, we can “print” a single t-shirt using a heat-on vinyl. This process can be done easily for one item depending on the complexity of the design as well as number of colors. If you are looking for just one shirt this is probably your best option. Keep in mind vinyl only comes in certain colors - we only use what we have in stock. If you are wanting a certain color you may want to opt for screen printing. Cost for vinyl depends on overall size.

Embroidering a single garment is different. We can setup a logo and embroider it without all the extra upfront setup. If you are doing a logo we do charge a fee to format it correctly. If you're just looking for just type we can do one item fairly quickly.

How Much Does SCREEN PRINTING or embroidery Cost?

A lot of factors go into the final cost of a screen printing project. Factors include how many colors you want, artwork, location of print, garment type and quantity. We have price breaks at 24, 48, 72, and 144.

Embroidery also has a number of factors including size, stitch count, and quantity of garments.

What CAN I PRINT ON?

In order for a print to be perfect you have to print on a smooth, flat surface. Any print that goes over a seam, collar or any other uneven surface will never be perfect because the screens cannot lay flat on the garment. We always recommend staying away from any printing that will go over seams but we will gladly do it at your request. As far as what we print on, your wish is our command; we are happy to print on any garment, hat, blanket, towel, etc. of your choosing as long as it's in our capabilities. We prefer to print on our garments as they are meant to embellish and we have knowledge of our materials. That being said, we can print or embroider your own garments but we are not liable for any errors that occur in the production process.

HOW DO I PICK AN INK COLOR?

We have a variety of standard ink colors that we carry. If you are wanting a specific ink color, we can custom mix one but cannot guarantee an exact match and it could vary on reorders of the same design. If you are doing a large job where you need an ink color to match a PMS or pantone color, we can order this for you at an additional charge. That cost is usually $100 per color.

Picking out a Brand & Style of Shirt

Picking out a brand and style can sometimes be the hardest part of the process since there are so many different options. To help with this stop by and we can show you our favorites. Or check out our catalog here

Artwork Requirements

Your print will only be as good as the artwork you provide. The larger the image, the better we can setup the screen or embroidery file. A vector, AI, EPS or PDF file works best but we will work with what you have. If you want to reproduce a hand-drawn logo - we can do that for an additional design fee. If you have questions, just ask us!

WHAT'S YOUr turNAROuND Time?

Typically we have our orders completed within 2 weeks of the deposit date. Time frame for your order could depend on quantity and difficulty as well as outstanding orders. We take orders as they come in, if you need them sooner you can pay to rush your order. We usually give a latest completion date, but keep in mind they could be done sooner or later than the specified date.

WHAT IS VINYL?

Vinyl is a technique of decorating fabric by cutting a design out of a specialty paper and then transferring it to fabric with heat and pressure. We often use this technique for team names or numbers and single shirt orders.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? - Shoot us an email

  • We inspect each garment as it’s printed. While we do our best to catch irregularities before the garments are delivered to you, sometimes holes or odd seams are missed. If you should find some defect in your garment, contact us and we’ll work with you to replace the item.

However, since each garment is manufactured in countries across the world, we cannot guarantee each garment will fit exactly the same. Manufacturers allow what they call a “tolerance” during their quality inspection. When their quality control team inspects each product, they compare measurements of the product to the measurements on their spec sheet. If measurements are within their “tolerance” then they pass inspection. The specs listed on our size charts are not necessarily a 100% certainty, it's more of a range. The width and height can be within one inch longer/shorter/wider than the specs listed.

Due to the international nature of apparel manufacturing, we do not warranty or guarantee the consistency, color, texture or appearance of the actual apparel. Apparel fabric colors which are shown online are approximate only and may have variations in color, hue and tone, especially from one size group to another. Fabric colors represented on computer monitors may vary substantially due to variations in computer screens, resolution, color, tone or any other display settings. Like-named colors used by apparel manufacturers are not necessarily an exact shade match (colors can vary from dye lots).

  • We are capable of printing over seams and zippers, but there are risks involved. The main risks involved are the ink bunching along the seam/zipper and possible inconsistencies when comparing the order piece by piece. Screen print boards are hard surfaces. When pushing the ink through the screen with a squeegee, a seam or a zipper results in an uneven print surface. Not every garment is the same so perfect uniformity for every print cannot be guaranteed. In addition, pushing ink over a seam/zipper can cause the ink to bunch in those areas. Having a completely even print to the eye/touch is unrealistic with these placements.

  • Ribbed shirts and tanks are a traditional option for Customers that desire a stretchy, yet form fitting garment. Although common, the ribbed fabric causes a challenge when screen printing. Upon stretching the garment to wear it, the ribbed material will stretch and naturally, the ink particles could separate and expose material that was not saturated with ink. This would give the design a cracked appearance. We will print on ribbed garments but make no guarantee about the longevity and appearance of the final product.

  • There is a limit to the amount of stitching any fabric can hold. Any design may cause slight pulling on the surrounding fabric, especially on very lightweight, stretchy, loose or open weave fabrics such as most t-shirts, sweaters, tank tops, and polyester, linen, or terry cloth fabrics. The reason is the embroidery thread is heavier, stronger and a tighter density than the surrounding fabric. If your project requires large, dense embroidery, please select heavyweight fabrics such as shirts with an ounce weight higher than 7 ounces OR fabrics with tight weaves including denim, double pique, oxford cloth, poplin, twill, wool, flannel, fleece or microfiber.

  • We do not warranty or guarantee that prints will be the same from shirt to shirt or item to item. When printing on colored fabrics there will be variations in print color and brightness which is considered normal. Due to the variations inherent in the processes used in producing screen printed designs, we assume no responsibility and make no guarantees regarding exact color matches of product or production, either within an order or in a reorder.

  • On certain colored garments there is always the risk of ink bleeding or dye migration. The dye in your red fabric could cause white ink to turn pink. The dye in navy fabric could cause yellow ink to turn green. The fabric may not like the flashes we use to cure the ink and could burn. We take extra care to test a shirt before printing, but depending on the dyes in the fabric and other factors, this could happen.

  • All printed products especially shirts should be properly washed before wearing. We recommend washing your garments inside out on gentle cycle, in cold water only, without bleach. This will provide maximum durability and colorfastness. We also recommend hang-to-dry only. DO NOT IRON DIRECTLY on any ink print or vinyl transfer.
